This will be something new for me: participating in a weekly blog post called Friday Five (www.friday5.org) They come up with five questions and we, the bloggers answer them.
- What’s something you love and is quite bad for you? Marlboro Menthol Ultra Lights. I justify it by saying I could still be smoking full flavors, but they made me feel terrible every morning. Lights did the same. Ultralights I’m ok with, i feel good during the day and fine in the morning. I still need to quit though.
- What’s something you hate and is quite good for you? Exercise. I’m not lazy, I just don’t wanna. I’ve been going to a Vinyasa/Power Flow yoga class for about three months and I’ve quite enjoyed it so far. It meets two nights a week for 1 1/2 hours at the most excellent time for me.
- What’s something that’s about equally good and bad for you? The Paducah Skatepark. I love getting on the bike and riding. The park brings back memories of the old days of freestyle biking. But I get hurt EVERY time I go. Doesn’t mean it isn’t fun though.
- What’s something you’ve been told is bad for you but you suspect is not as bad as people say? Beer! Before I was of age everyone in my family drank it but liked to tell me how bad it was and how bad it tastes. Well, now I know drinking Busch Lite is heinous. As is most American beer. I now know “beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy,” thanks to Benjamin Franklin for the quote. Everything in moderation, too. My favorites to moderate are Xingu, Staropramen and Shiner.
- What’s something most people consider ugly but you consider beautiful? Tattoos. I don’t have any yet but I’ve wanted them for as long as I can remember. I just want mine to be actual ART and not just scribblings on skin. I’ve been drawing them since seventh or eighth grade but never pursued it as anything more than putting pencil on paper.
